Nina Gurevich was born in Russia. At a young age she took evening classes in drawing at the "Repin Art Academy" in St. Petersburg. Later she was accepted to the "Muhina Art Academy" where she specialized in city landscapes. After 5 years, in 1979, she graduated from the academy with honors.
Gurevich specializes in expression of urban landscapes, with a style that resembles to Cezanne.
She is traditional in her paintings, with clarity and brightness of color.
Nina has participated in many exhibitions: one solo exhibition in "Jaffa- Dalet Theater", Tel-Aviv-Jaffa (1990) and group exhibitions in many important museums: the "Artists' House", St. Petersburg, Russia (1970), "Museum of Muhina Art Academy", St. Petersburg, Russia (1976), State Exhibition Halls, Moscow and St. Petersburg (1978), "Mane Hall", St. Petersburg (1982), "Museum of History", St. Petersburg (1989), "Artists' House", St. Petersburg (1990), "Modern Russian Artists"- touring exhibition- Russia and Switzerland (1990), "Catto Art Gallery", London (1991), "Shagall House", Haifa (1992, 1996), Florida, USA, (1997).
Nina's works are exhibited in the "Ruski Museum", St. Petersburg, and are part of private collections of: Kazanelson, Bogomolov and Blagodatov in St. Petersburg, Russia, Jacov Lifshitz, Rosman Shashuriak, David Haitman in Israel, Vera Rozen and Spitcovsky in the USA, George Holywell in Canada and others.
In 1990 Nina repatriated with her family to Israel and settled down in Zfat where she still lives and works.
